BITNAR ARCHITECTS

BITNAR ARCHITECTS was established in New York in 1990. Since that time, the firm has been involved in all phases of the architecture field, from the earliest stages of programming and schematic design through construction, with projects in architectural design, urban planning and interior design.

Bitnar Architects offers service in a variety of categories: housing (single family), housing (multi-family), industrial, institutional, banks/financial, educational, healthcare/medical, hotel/hospitality, libraries, commercial/office, recreational, religious facilities, retail, sporting/athletic, historic preservation and restoration, interior design and urban planning.

Bitnar Architects has won awards and recognition for both contemporary designs and preservation, most notably, an AIA Pacific Region Citation Award and AIA Montana Chapter Merit Award for the Avis Car Rental facility, and the AIA Montana Chapter Merit Award for the M&I Residence. The Avis building was also featured in the New York Times Style Magazine. In addition, the Bridger Apartments complex was awarded a Community Beautification Award, and two historic residences in Bozeman received the Award for Excellence in Residential Renovation from the Bozeman Historic Preservation Advisory Board.

The office regularly participates in international design competitions. Recent competitions have included an award-winning design for the Four Seasons Hotel in Prague, and a design for the $700 million New Opera House in Oslo, Norway, and a new urban plan design for Wenceslaus Square in Prague and a recent design for the Czech Embassy in Washington, D.C.

The firm offers project administration and management, evaluation and planning, design, bidding and negotiation, contract administration using AIA Document B101, scheduling and budgeting. The office is well equipped with state-of-the art technology, the AutoCAD design system, 3-D Studio Max presentation software for 3-D graphics and a full line of reprographic facilities. The office of Bitnar Architects is in Bozeman, Montana. Bitnar Architects has been a member of the U.S. Green Building Council since 2006 and is a member of the Southwest Montana Building Industry Association/the National Association of Home Builders.

Architecture for Bitnar Architects is the art of successfully synthesizing form to meet exacting requirements.
