| BITNAR ARCHITECTS was established in New York in 1990. Since that time, the firm has been involved in all phases of the architecture field, from the earliest stages of programming and schematic design through construction, with projects in architectural design, urban planning and interior design. Bitnar Architects offers service in a variety of categories: single family housing, represented by projects like the Mirick residence on the Gallatin River (a 2003 Parade of Homes property), and others at Triple Tree in Bozeman; multi-unit housing such as the Bridger Apartments I and II in Bozeman; hospitality design, for example a luxury hotel design in Big Sky, as well as restaurants in Bozeman and Prague; commercial office buildings, such as the Galusha Higgins Galusha office in Helena, and the Avis Building on Frontage Road in Bozeman ; urban and residential planning and design, for example The Village Downtown, a 36 townhouse/144 condominium project off East Main in Bozeman; and historic preservation and renovation, for instance a 9,000 square-foot renovation of an historic building on South Grand and another renovation of an historic residence on Cleveland, both of which won awards from the Historic Preservation Board. Once a year, the office participates in an international competition in order to increase overall professionalism. Recent competitions have included an award-winning design for the Four Seasons Hotel in Prague, and more recently, a design for the New Opera House in Oslo, Norway, a $250,000,000 project, and Wenceslas Square in Prague. The firm offers project administration and management, evaluation and planning, design, bidding and negotiation, contract administration using AIA Document B151 , scheduling and budgeting. The office is well equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the AutoCAD design system , Form Z presentation software for 3-D graphics and a full line of reprographic facilities. The headquarters of Bitnar Architects is in Bozeman, Montana, with offices in New York City and Prague, Czech Republic.
